I’ve been writing on the mental health issue for some time saying it is merely a disease of perception. It’s simply the level that determines the point where it becomes a clinical disorder of action and behaviour. But the medical profession isn’t listening. From the statistics above it’s apparent that the medical profession is also suffering from a disease of perception like most of their patients.
When it comes to mental health they don’t want to appear at themselves for fear that they may need to change their instructions. Yet unless they realize that we’re hypnotic animals and our perceptions create biochemical and physiological in us, our research work is only going to end up being just chasing shadows not the material. We have to acknowledge the fact that our hopes and fears and needs affect our perception of reality.
Our perceptions lead us to believe in a specific way thus affecting our thinking. Our thinking process is hypnotic. It’s composed of words and phrases. It influences our subconscious thoughts negatively or positively depending on the form of words we use; significance or beliefs don’t matter. Our mental and physical health is dependent upon our immune system that’s right under subconscious control. So it’s the subconscious mind that’s the elephant in the room and how we influence it’s what we should be addressing.
As I have mentioned earlier, how one feels at a given moment is dependent upon how one is stimulating one’s subconscious mind. When you’re happy it means you’re stimulating it favorably; when you’re depressed and unhappy it means you’re stimulating it negatively. If we look around us each one of us is an ego tripper and a time traveller. From the moment one is born, one begins acquiring an identity. One is given a title and then everything we do becomes I, Me and Mine. This self-centred action contributes to possessiveness which consequently contributes to thinking in terms of “My house, my car, my wife, my husband, my children etc.”
One doesn’t realize that if we go through life this way acquiring wealth, knowledge, power etc. it’s a self-isolating procedure. This method leads to building a psychological wall around us. On day earlier or later, depending on the situation and one’s conditioning, unless a person becomes conscious of it, one will certainly wind up entirely isolated, totally surrounded by this wall and completely alone.
What is happening?
This is the dark side we refer to if our perceptions create a very gloomy picture of reality where there is total despair and everything in life becomes meaningless. This of course is a distorted picture of reality which an individual develops through self-centred thinking and too little self-knowledge. Please understand that our thinking process is a hypnotic procedure and we are continuously hypnotizing ourselves.
Under this hypnotic spell the ego is liable to speak himself or herself into accepting extremely stupid actions. If any of you find yourselves in this precarious situation, my advice isn’t to take yourself too seriously. The wall you’ve built around yourself is of your own making. It’s in your mind. You can break it down and go beyond it by simply becoming aware of it at the first case. Awareness is the weapon you use to dehypnotize yourself.
Once it’s possible to make that perception it is a self-created barrier it will melt off. It’s a wall you’ve built through ignorance. You’re a part of the universe as well as the timeless reality. As you clean up your perceptions, you’ll understand that is there’s a whole world beyond the cocoon you’ve created. However in case you withdraw into your shell, you may only be strengthening that wall. Verbalizing our feelings is a custom we’ve obtained in our thinking process.
We use phrases and words to express our feelings and as a way of communication. Now these words may have a powerful hypnotic effect on how we feel about a situation. Please allow me to clarify how words intensify or give shape to your feelings. Suppose you’re extremely angry. You’ll find that if you continue using negative language and words you may get quite emotionally upset, and accountable to behave in a destructive manner.
But if you didn’t verbalize your feelings and only tried to understand and remain with them, you’ll realize they don’t have a life of their own. The feelings will just melt off. Yes it’s the words that trigger your feelings. Try to keep up the sense of anger without saying anything on your thoughts and see how long you can maintain it. You’ll discover that without words that your feelings don’t have any substance.
Another habit of the self is to continue analyzing the adverse experience you might have had. Well my buddy if you continue analyzing the circumstance, you will get even more miserable. This is because as soon as you use words it gives form to your feelings and it’ll trigger the thinking process even more. You’ll be going round and round in circles like a squirrel in a cage. So my advice is stop analyzing. If someone doesn’t want to speak you, do not ask yourself why etc.. You should say in your mind “If you do not wish to speak to me, I don’t have any time for you. Good bye and all the best.”
You’ll be surprised to find yourself immediately free of the negative emotions. As we are all self trippers and time travellers, sooner or later we can anticipate the dark curtain descending on any one of us from the blue. If you believe you love someone and it’s causing you heartache, obviously your perception is distorted because love never makes you sad.
Love always makes you happy. It’s your selfishness and your self that’s making you miserable. Learn how to know what love is. When you; love you’re always a winner because when you love you never have a person. However, if you possessed someone, it’s not love. You’ll have a sense of loss attached to it. Love and possession can’t coexist. That’s the basic law of their mind. Please learn to know what love is and the way your ego attempts to manipulate it. Love can’t be manipulated.
Once you clear your senses of love and ownership, you’ll be amazed to discover how open and free you may feel. Do not rely on the entire world to make you happy. You must make yourself happy. Stop feeling sorry for yourself and regretting. Life is never intended for regrets. All the adventures in life, the good and the bad, are good for you. They teach you a lesson in life and should make you a better person.
Learn from these experiences, make amends and proceed. Make the whole world your oyster not just your small shell. My message to the medical profession and also to all the men and women that suffer from depression, anxiety etc. is extremely clear. If you don’t want to become one of those statistics in a mental health survey like above, please don’t ignore the elephant in the room. Be ready to change your senses and harmonize with your subconscious mind. Ignoring the facts won’t make them disappear.
