Regular exercise increases your body’s immune system. Studies indicate that regular exercise increases the amount of white blood cells in your immune system, and that obese individuals have less immune cells. But do not worry, you do not need to train like mad everyday, as over training induces these white blood cell numbers to fall. Well that is different, you may feel better after exercising because of the release of endorphins.

Let’s start

Some people even get hooked on this high that exercising supplies them, but this won’t help rid you of any disease. Here’s my rules of thumb about exercising when sick. For those who have a stuffy nose, cough, sneezing or anything that looks like a head cold, it is not a huge deal. If it’s an ailment under the neck or a complete body fever take a chair and rest as exercise won’t help you recover. A cold is situated in the nose and throat and is usually caused by a bacterial infection (you don’t need antibiotics for this).

Influenza like H1N1 have a high fever reaction. Vaccines are utilized to prevent viral diseases. Has this ever happened to you? You fell asleep in a cold area and 1 or two days after you get a case of the sniffles? This is because of decline in your core temperature within the period you’re sleeping. See your body is an inner hostile environment to bacteria and a reduction in only a couple levels increases the likelihood that a couple of pathogens on your body which are typically eliminated can survive and cause your common cold.

When your under considerable amounts of stress you increase the probability of illness, as cortisol levels increase, making things less efficient on your body and reduces white blood cells. Believe me there are a good deal of sniffles occurring in those college examinations, with those stressed out students. Did you know the chance of illness goes up 300 percent when stressed? Are you concerned about getting the flu in the gym? People keep coming to the health club and coughing, and your anxious. For a couple of weeks, lower your training intensity, lower general stress, work on technique and do not attempt make any personal bests. Oh and bring your own water bottle!
